- The minimum requirement moves to macOS 12; 4.2.0 is the last release for macOS 11
- Wide tables scroll horizontally, columns size to their content, and cells no longer break words mid-token
- Dark-theme PDF exports print body text, formulas and table cells in ink on white paper, with highlights restored
- The preview search bar follows its own panel colour, so its field, counter and icons stay visible in dark mode
- Inline math starting with a number no longer swallows the paragraphs and lists that follow it
- iOS search covers the whole of a long note instead of stopping partway through
- The bundled commercial font is replaced by system typography, with saved selections migrated and custom faces untouched
- Reopening the window restores the preview mode that was in use instead of falling back to the default
