github ttlequals0/MinusPod v2.101.7
2.101.7

pre-release3 hours ago

2.101.7

Fixed

  • The YouTube metadata backfill skips a row whose feed was deleted mid-batch instead of logging an error for the whole batch.
  • SponsorBlock marks named only by a category label no longer reach text-pattern creation, which rejected them with warnings.

Changed

  • Listed videos that already carry a description and an exact publish time are not revisited by the metadata backfill.

2.101.6

Added

  • Settings > YouTube has a Reset to defaults action for its tunables, daily update toggle, proxy and extra arguments. The feature switch, Data API key and cookies file are kept.

Changed

  • Settings > YouTube lists the proxy and extra-argument fields first and keeps the yt-dlp version, daily update toggle and Update now button together below them.

2.101.5

Fixed

  • The metadata backfill gives up on a video after three failed lookups instead of retrying forever.
  • The placeholder cleanup also removes placeholders whose processing attempt failed.
  • Deleting a feed also removes its pending rows from the processing queue, so a removed feed cannot be picked up for processing again.

2.101.4

Added

  • An Extra yt-dlp arguments setting under Settings > YouTube adds options such as a rate limit to every yt-dlp call. Options that run programs, move files, read local files, change the JSON output or update the binary are rejected.
  • A Proxy URL setting under Settings > YouTube routes yt-dlp and YouTube Data API requests through an HTTP or SOCKS proxy.
  • A YouTube feed can hold a single video: paste a watch, youtu.be, live or shorts URL on Add feed and the feed serves that one episode. The preview card shows the source kind as Video.

Fixed

  • Private and deleted playlist entries no longer appear as episodes titled with a bare video id.
  • A one-shot cleanup removes the placeholder episodes those entries already created.
  • Processing stats record the chapters stage when publisher chapters are preserved, and show a SponsorBlock lookup stage on YouTube runs.

Changed

  • The YouTube playlist listing sends the cookies file and hides private and deleted episodes by default. A global "Hide private and deleted episodes" setting with a per-feed override lists them instead, titled "Private episode" until the real title is known.
  • SponsorBlock-only runs skip audio analysis, since marks are cut as given and nothing reads the signals. The stats table shows the stage as skipped.

2.101.3

Changed

  • A YouTube feed lists every discovered episode with its upload date, up to the feed's episode cap. The first play of an unprocessed episode starts processing, as on subscribed and local feeds. Turn on "Only expose processed episodes" for the feed to list finished episodes only.

Fixed

  • Processed YouTube episodes appear in the combined Recents feed and the Recents list, like subscribed and local episodes.
  • YouTube publish times stored as midnight are upgraded to the video's exact time by the metadata backfill, which also reads release timestamps.

2.101.2

Fixed

  • YouTube episode descriptions and exact publish times are filled for episodes that were only discovered, not downloaded. A background pass reads the metadata of up to 10 episodes per refresh cycle without downloading audio, so a feed added without an API key fills in over the first hour.
  • A reprocess that reuses the retained original audio of a YouTube episode fetches the captions again instead of losing them, and a saved transcript is never wiped when the run cannot regenerate it.
  • The known-sponsor hint no longer fails with a missing database when the reviewer is its first caller.
  • The feed page action row keeps Delete on screen while Refresh is pending at phone widths.

Changed

  • YouTube episodes with SponsorBlock marks also run the learned ad patterns (audio fingerprints and text patterns) with the LLM off, and the marks themselves are learned as patterns after the cut. A pattern hit that overlaps a mark gives way to the mark. The LLM runs only without marks or with Pass 1 detection on.
  • On a YouTube feed, Full reprocess and Re-detect ads force pass 1 LLM detection for that episode even when marks exist. The episode and dashboard menus say which mode runs marks, patterns and the LLM pass.

2.101.1

Fixed

  • SponsorBlock-only runs no longer invoke the LLM reviewer, so community timestamps are cut as given instead of being nudged.
  • YouTube episode descriptions and exact publish times are filled from the video metadata at download when the listing had none (feeds listed with yt-dlp carry no descriptions until then).
  • YouTube caption transcripts drop speaker-change markers and bracketed sound cues.
  • The feed URL copy button shares the action row with Reprocess, Refresh and Delete at phone widths.
  • The YouTube feed panel keeps the same spacing as its neighbours.

Added

  • Transcribe when captions are missing: an optional transcription fallback for YouTube feeds (global toggle with a per-feed override, off by default). With it off, a video without captions is cut from SponsorBlock marks only, and once SponsorBlock gives up with no marks it is served unmodified.
  • YouTube feeds take their author from the source and let you edit author, explicit and categories, so the served channel carries the iTunes tags.

2.101.0

Added

  • YouTube feeds (#898). Add a playlist or channel from the Add feed page and MinusPod turns it into a podcast feed. SponsorBlock community marks are the cut source by default, with a configurable processing delay, probe loop and watch window before the LLM pipeline takes over (or instead of it, per feed). Video captions become the transcript when present, creator chapters are kept, and every knob lives in Settings > YouTube with per-feed overrides. Each processed video's thumbnail is cached for per-episode artwork, and feed artwork can be uploaded or refreshed from the source. Off by default.
  • yt-dlp 2026.10.26 ships in both images (baked floor) and self-updates daily on the data volume, with an Update now button and an optional global cookies file for yt-dlp.

Changed

  • Dockerfiles install Deno, the JavaScript runtime yt-dlp needs for YouTube.

Security

  • Dependency bumps folded in: lucide-react 1.61.0, react-router 8.5.0, wavesurfer.js 8.0.3, vite 8.3.5, @testing-library/user-event 14.6.8, soupsieve 3.0.4, actions/setup-python 7.1.0, docker/login-action 4.7.0 (#902, #903, #905, #906, #907, #908, #909, #910).
