Two bug fixes against 2.1.23+deb1, both reported after the stable cut.
check_config: skip required-field validation on edit path (#130)
Reported by O'Neill, Will. PVE calls check_config with just the submitted delta on pvesm set <id> -<flag>, not the merged stored config, so demanding tn_api_host / tn_api_key / tn_dataset (and the transport-specific requires) made every edit die with tn_api_host is required. Required-field dies now gate on $create; format/warning checks still fire whenever the relevant field is actually submitted. The reproducer from the issue — pvesm set <id> -disable true — now works.
api(): bump $TESTED_APIVER from 15 to 16 (#99)
Reported by blunweon and noberasco. PVE bumped pve-storage's APIVER during the 2.1.23 release cycle; users on PVE 9.2+ hit Plugin "..." is implementing an older storage API, an upgrade is recommended on every pvesm call. Bumping $TESTED_APIVER to 16 clears it.
Validation
20/20 PASS on the proxmox-test-runner storage-plugin-validation suite against truenas-storage on the four-node cluster (pve/pve2/proxmox2/pvevm1) on 2026-10-11/12. Each round: 19 validated, 2 unsupported, 3 not tested for prerequisite reasons, 0 failed.
