Changed
- Downloads come with everything they need. Each release has a zip per
system (-windows-x64,-macos-arm64,-linux-x64) with its packages
already inside, so the first start no longer runs an npm install; only
Node.js has to be installed. Unpacked on the wrong system, it fetches the
one piece that differs. In-app updates keep using the small zip. - The Windows download brings its own Node.js (the current LTS, from
nodejs.org, checked against its published checksums), so a Windows PC
needs nothing installed besides ComfyUI. The launcher uses it and falls
back to a Node.js on PATH. When a release wants a newer Node.js, the
in-app update fetches it next to the old one and switches over once the
new version has started. - Updates no longer reinstall packages when only the version number in the
lockfile changed.
