Enhancements
- Added an Agent Skill to the repository, which teaches AI coding assistants how to work with Lightweight Charts™. The skill covers v5 API conventions, mental models, and common foot-guns related to time, scales, markers, plugins, and wrappers. See AI coding assistants for more details. (PR #2088)
- Added "hovered area line lift" when
hoveredSeriesOnTopis enabled. Hovering an Area or Baseline series now renders its stroke, point markers, and price lines on a top layer while the fill stays at its natural z-order. This keeps the line visible above overlapping series fills. (PR #2090)
Performance Improvements
- Improved crosshair and hover performance on charts which combine series markers with large datasets. The series markers pane view no longer clones the entire series dataset on every mouse move; the per-move cost is no longer proportional to the total number of data points. (PR #2105)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed
autoscaleInfoProvidernot being reset when explicitly set back toundefinedviaapplyOptions, which caused autoscaling to permanently stop working once a custom provider had been used. (PR #2098, contributed by @0007aadil) - Fixed arrow marker tips drifting away from the anchor price when the marker
sizeis greater than1. The resolved marker size is no longer re-clamped to a 30px maximum within the renderer, so the drawn shape scales withsizeand remains aligned with the anchor price. This also fixes large circle and square markers being capped at 30px. Markers using the default size render identically to the previous version. (PR #2100) - Fixed a
Value is nullerror which could be thrown when replacing the data of multiple series with shorter datasets while the crosshair was hovering over data. Affected series pane views are now invalidated before time scale changes are applied, so any synchronous recalculation rebuilds its items against the current row indices. (PR #2110, fixes #2044, contributed by @anAirdrop) - Fixed documentation examples (tutorials) which used
priceScale()on the chart instance without specifying a price scale id. The id is required when callingpriceScale()on the chart instance, unlike when calling it onISeriesApi. (PR #2102)
Plugin & Indicator Examples
- Added a drop-in Accessibility plugin which packages the keyboard navigation, ARIA markup, and screen-reader announcements covered in the accessibility tutorial into a single chart-level helper. (PR #2095)
