Validation: 927 tests passed locally; the separate ESPHome 2026.10.0 suite passed all 31 MCU packages plus the component inventory check. Secret scans of the working tree and new commits found no remaining leaks, and the release archive was checked for private/local files.
The Linux/macOS host snapshot example was skipped on Windows. Firmware compilation, physical hardware and live Home Assistant rendering were not tested. Confirm board pins and follow the OTA migration guide before flashing an existing device.
