User Interface Tweaks Applied
I hope both new and existing users benefit from
efficiency improvements and enhanced ease of use.
Note: All user options will be reset to defaults.
Extra Button and More Buttons Functionality
The 'Extra button=1' option enables the 'More Buttons' menu, which reveals all previously available buttons that are now hidden to reduce screen clutter.
- Setting 'Extra button=0' hides the 'More Buttons' option.
- Clicking on 'More Buttons' changes it to 'Offset=0'. Clicking it again adjusts the offset, allowing more buttons to appear (if available) or reverting to the previous state, as shown in the first screenshot.
Switching Display Modes
You can use easy_mode_toggleKey to switch between the new compact display and the old full-button display. If 'Extra button=0', this is an alternative way to toggle modes.
Managing Buttons in the New Mode
- The new mode automatically collects the buttons you use in the old mode until the available space is filled.
- You can delete unused buttons to free up space, but they will reappear when used again.
Using the 'Theme=' Button
- You can access the 'Theme=' button via either 'More Buttons' or easy_mode_toggleKey.
- If needed, you can delete it to make space.
Resetting to Defaults
If easy_mode_toggleKey is set to nothing (first click removes it, second click let you set it) and you delete all buttons, including the 'More Buttons' option, you may lose the ability to re-enable them.
To reset everything to default settings, delete
eazy_mode_buttons.dat
.
This new system helps you keep only the buttons you frequently use while hiding those you rarely need.
Set shortcuts to Defaults
- If you set 'Extra button=2' you can set shortcuts to defaults
Updated Handling of eazy_mode_buttons
and Breezeoptions.dat
- When present,
Breezeoptions.dat
takes priority. eazy_mode_buttons.dat
is saved when you exit the main menu using the B button.- If
Breezeoptions.dat
is missing,eazy_mode_buttons.dat
is used to load custom keys and the buttons included in focus mode. - If
eazy_mode_buttons.dat
is also missing,eazy_mode_buttons.default
is used as a fallback. eazy_mode_buttons.default
is included as part of the Breeze release, whileeazy_mode_buttons.dat
preserves your changes in case you need to deleteBreezeoptions.dat
(perhaps due to an issue on my part).
