beta125.03
No new gen2 fork: this release uses the same one as beta124.07 (v0.20).
Take the new pc_app.zip: it has a new file, pcconnect_decomp.py. Put it in the same folder as the other app files. See the PC App Guide.
New: the disassembler shows the function as C
In the PC app's Disassembler, press Decompile (F6). A pane opens beside the listing with the function written as C, made by Ghidra's decompiler on your PC.
- The first time, press Download and set up (Windows). It downloads Ghidra and Java, about 740 MB, and sets them up. If you have Ghidra and a Java 21 JDK already, pick their folders instead.
- The first function takes about 20 seconds while Ghidra starts, and 3 seconds on later starts of the app. After that, a function takes under a second.
- The C follows the listing. Click a C line to go to its instructions; double-click a call to open that function. Back returns.
- Copy and Save... take the C.
New: names in the disassembler on Unreal games
The disassembler showed no function names on Unreal games. It now names them the way Breeze does (Module.Class::Function). Calls open as their own function, even where the game's table of functions has gaps.
New: Unreal C++ functions get names
Breeze now names the C++ virtual functions of Unreal classes as Class::vf_<slot>, where it used to show func_<offset>. You see them in code watch, the method watch and the disassembler.
New: Connect..., and one app at a time
- Connect... in the app's main window changes the Switch's address and code without restarting the app.
- Starting the app a second time brings the open window to the front. Tick Multiple instances if you want more than one window, for example one per Switch.
Added after publishing
The mouse's back and forward buttons go Back and Forward in the disassembler. Re-download pc_app.zip for it.
