Test Version 0.38b
This is an Alpha Test release, a preview of v0.39 that will, hopefully, be released soon.
This release is a bug fix of 0.38 (only released on Debian) that fixes two bugs -
- A serious bug that affects links to notes that have utf8 characters in the note title.
- An annoying bug that only shows up on Wayland systems, typically on recent Gnome and KDE systems.
- Desktop file now ensures a start from the GUI will always set QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb thus avoiding Wayland on systems using it. This can be removed when Wayland is finally fit for purpose. If starting from the command line, I suggest you also set QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb.
While this new code has not yet been extensively tested, changes are quite specific to the above bugs and you might find this release more satisfactory that the older alternative of 0.37 or the recently released 0.38.
Qt5 and Qt6 users MUST install a new libqt5pas1 or libqt6pas6 libraries, your distro version is almost certainly not suitable any more (unless you use Debian Testing). Get the new libraries from the links below and install them before or at the same time as you install tomboy-ng

As a testing release, this does not include all the platforms that tomboy-ng usually supports. Further, the binaries here, v0.38b do not match the source archives, v0.38a.
