Poznote 6.87.0

This stable release bundles everything published on the beta channel since 6.86.0: 6.86.1-beta, 6.86.3-beta and 6.86.4-beta. If you were on latest-and-beta you already have almost all of it; new since the last beta are the fixes listed at the end of the Fixed section and few UI fixes.

✨ New

• Calendar and time in the slash menu: insert today's date, the current time or both, a relative date (tomorrow, yesterday, next week, last month...), the next Monday to Sunday, or pick a date and time from a calendar. /tomorrow, /yesterday and the other English names work whatever the interface language. #1394

• Journal links: / then "Link to a journal entry" inserts a link to a given day. Clicking it opens that day's journal entry, and creates it if it doesn't exist yet. Each new slash menu item can be hidden on its own from UI Customization.
• Long date format: diary entry titles and the date and time format setting now offer a "long" option, for example "Saturday, September 12, 2026". Custom formats accept new tokens: dddd (weekday name), D (day without leading zero), and MMMM / MMM (month names), for date and time too. Names follow the interface language.

🚀 Improved

• AI assistant: a failed connection to the provider (DNS timeout, connection refused or reset) is now retried automatically, up to 3 attempts, before any answer arrives. If it still fails, the error bubble shows a Retry button that sends your message again, so you don't have to paste it. #1388

• Date and time pickers (slash menu and task due dates) work from the keyboard: arrow keys move through days, hours and minutes, and Enter moves on to the next step. The time list starts at the current minute.
• Journal: the new diary and rename dialogs now look like the rest of the app's dialogs.
• Emoji picker and : autocomplete: added 😁 😉 🙃 😒 🙁 😐 🙄 🫩, plus upside_down_face, unamused and face_with_bags_under_eyes (or tired) in autocomplete. #1392
• Folder note counts: the old "hide counts, show them on hover" setting is gone. Counts are always shown, unless you hide them in Element visibility. #1378
• UI Customization: "Check all" and "Uncheck all" now ask for confirmation before replacing your selection for that section.
• Workspace menu: "New workspace" now comes before "Edit workspaces".

🐛 Fixed

• After a container update, the browser could open its own username/password dialog, useless with OIDC. An expired session now sends you back to the login page with a "session expired" notice, and you come back to the page you were on once signed in. REST API clients still get the usual Basic auth challenge. #1389
• Journal view: the Colored markdown setting (headings, inline code, code blocks, quotes, tables) and callout styles now apply to journal entries, just like in the editor. #1391
• If you had turned off the note creation date or note icons with the old Settings toggles, you couldn't turn them back on, because those toggles had moved to Element visibility. Your choice now carries over there, and you can show them again from that modal. #1378
• New since 6.86.4-beta: selecting text inside a dialog and releasing the mouse outside it closed the dialog. A dialog now only closes when the click starts and ends on the backdrop.
• New since 6.86.4-beta: on a brand new install, the startup guide could show up on the second page load instead of the first one.
