This release is a special one! 🤩 Poznote has just passed 1,000 stars on GitHub. 🎉 And it was my birthday this week too, so this is a wonderful gift! 🎁 Thank you all for following the project, reporting what breaks and asking for what is missing, this release is made almost entirely of your requests.

The AI assistant can now look at the images in a note, and the MCP server can edit long notes section by section, address a note by its path and read an attachment.

✨ New

• Images in the AI assistant: ask about an image in a note and the assistant looks at it, whether it is an attachment or an image pasted into a rich text note. Thanks to @myrandomcoolprojects! #1743

• MCP, partial edits of long notes: new append_to_note, replace_in_note, replace_section and get_note_outline tools, and get_note can read a note in slices. The whole note no longer goes through the agent to change one paragraph. Thanks to @Faultbendfold! #1736
• MCP, address a note by path: every tool that takes a note id now also accepts a path, such as Projects/Alpha/Meeting notes. Thanks to @Faultbendfold! #1738
• MCP, read an attachment: a new get_attachment tool returns an attachment's contents, as an image the model can see or as text. Thanks to @Faultbendfold! #1741

🚀 Improved

• API search: a multi-word query now looks for every word instead of the whole string, with a mode parameter for any word or an exact phrase, and new tags, folder, updated_from and updated_to filters. Thanks to @Faultbendfold! #1737
• Upcoming reminders and due dates: the reminders API can list reminders that have not fired yet, and tasks can be filtered by a due date range. Thanks to @Faultbendfold! #1740
• AI Assistant and Transcription: in the allowed users list, administrators are always allowed and their line is now checked and disabled.
• AI assistant: the open note is saved before your message is sent, so a question about what you just typed sees it.
• Documentation: the README in all ten languages and the API, MCP, AI assistant, transcription and webhooks pages were brought back in line with the app, where they still described the old Settings sections, the old Tasks filters or an assistant every profile gets. The list of MCP tools now lives in one place instead of three.

🐛 Fixed

• Resized images: an image you resized keeps its size when the assistant edits the note. Thanks to @myrandomcoolprojects! #1744
• Markdown preview: an image used as a link no longer disappears, and internal note links keep their style.
• Shared workspaces: a guest no longer sees reminders from the owner's other workspaces.
