Poznote 6.110.0
The Markdown editor gets a live rendering mode, where the note looks like its preview while you type, and tables can now compute totals.
Important
Live rendering is still a work in progress. A setting to never show the Markdown syntax, so that you type as in a rich-text editor, is not finished yet and will come in a later version.
✨ New
- Live rendering in the Markdown editor. The text is formatted as you type: headings, bold, lists, tasks, callouts, code blocks, tables, images, diagrams and math look like the preview, and the syntax comes back where the caret is. One button of the floating controls cycles through preview, live rendering and split view (#1582).
- Table formulas. Right-click a table cell and pick a formula for its row or its column: sum, average, minimum, maximum, count or product. In a Markdown note it is written as
=SUM(col)or=AVG(row)in the cell (#1586).
- New note view mode. A setting in Settings > Markdown chooses how a new Markdown note opens: split view, editor or live rendering.
🚀 Improved
- Closing the Excalidraw editor brings you back to the diagram you just edited in the note.
- The scroll-to-top and scroll-to-bottom arrows are greyed out instead of hidden, so the floating controls no longer move.
- Korean translation and documentation refined, thanks to @GOODJINC (#1584).
🐛 Fixed
- Markdown: backticks can be shown inside inline code with a longer run of backticks around it, as in
`` `code` ``, in tables too (#1585). - Firefox on Linux: the note's scrollbar was a barely visible line (#1544).
❤️ Enjoying Poznote?
Poznote went open source almost a year and a half ago now. Since then I have not made any money from it, and it actually costs me money. Hosting for the demo instance, the website, the domain name, a VPS for development and tests, mail and AI subscriptions, storage, backups, monitoring and more. So every coffee is welcome, it really helps me maintain and improve Poznote.
Thank you to everyone whose donations have allowed Poznote to keep growing and become what it is today. If you would like to support the project, it is this way: Ko-fi.
