Poznote 6.109.0-beta

Reminders now reach your phone or computer as a notification, even with Poznote closed, a note can be linked from a subtask, and tags can be edited from the journal.

✨ New

  • Notifications for reminders. A reminder that fires shows a notification on your device, even with Poznote closed, and a click on it opens the note. The browser asks for the permission when you save a reminder. This needs HTTPS or localhost (#1571).
  • Link a note from a subtask. Type / in the "Add a subtask" field to open the same menu as in the new-task field: link to a note, emoji, date (#1570).
  • Slash menu in the "Edit task" dialog. The same menu opens there too, so a link, an emoji or a date can be added to an existing task or subtask.

  • Edit tags from the journal. In the journal view of the diary, the tag button next to the pencil lets you add or remove the tags of an entry without opening the note.

🚀 Improved

  • A new reminder or due date starts on the current date and time.
  • A new due date has its reminder turned on by default.
  • The email option of a due date reminder is off until you turn it on.
  • Signing out stops the reminder notifications on that device.
  • The REST API has /api/v1/users/me/push to list and manage the devices subscribed to reminder notifications.

🐛 Fixed

  • Excalidraw: in a dark theme, a photo embedded in a diagram no longer has its colors inverted in the note's preview (#1578).
  • Split view: an empty note no longer shows a scrollbar, and the scrollbars stop before the rounded corners of the panes.
  • On a phone, a long press in the notes list offered "Hide left column", and the list then lost its padding.

❤️ Enjoying Poznote?

Poznote went open source almost a year and a half ago now. Since then I have not made any money from it, and it actually costs me money. Hosting for the demo instance, the website, the domain name, a VPS for development and tests, mail and AI subscriptions, storage, backups, monitoring and more. So every coffee is welcome, it really helps me maintain and improve Poznote.

Thank you to everyone whose donations have allowed Poznote to keep growing and become what it is today. If you would like to support the project, it is this way: Ko-fi.
