A beta focused on Excalidraw notes with large diagrams.
🚀 Improved
- Excalidraw: a failed save now shows a clear "Save failed (HTTP xxx)" message, and a save that gets no answer gives up after 5 minutes so you can retry without leaving the editor. The save buttons are disabled while a save is running, so a second click no longer sends the diagram twice.
- A background Git push, an AI chat answer or an audio transcription no longer makes the other requests of the same browser wait.
🐛 Fixed
Excalidraw:
- once a diagram passed about 1 MB (an embedded photo for example), each save added a full copy of it to the note instead of replacing it. Affected notes are cleaned up on their next save. #1567
- "Exit without saving" no longer shows a NetworkError alert while a save is pending.
- The text around a large diagram is found by search again, and stays searchable right after a diagram save.
- Restoring a revision of a diagram note no longer shows a broken image, and a new diagram note no longer gets a revision that turned it into raw JSON when restored.
- "Edit" on the diagram of an imported or duplicated note opens that note, not the one it was copied from.
- Import: a note with an empty Excalidraw diagram is no longer imported as an empty task list.
- The character count of an Excalidraw note no longer includes the diagram's hidden data.
