System Bridge now restarts itself on Linux when a package update replaces it, so the new version runs without a manual restart.
Linux
- Restart the backend within a minute of a package update replacing its executable. It shuts down as usual, then starts the new version in place with the same process ID, so whatever started it, such as systemd or a desktop autostart, still owns it. Flatpak and Windows still need restarting after an update.
Docs
- Add Updating to the install page.
