spotifywebapipythonpackage requirement tospotifywebapipython>=1.0.291. - This updates Spotify Connect Zeroconf processing for devices that utilize the Spotify Connect token type of
accesstoken. These devices must now authenticate using an OAuth access token, and can no longer use Spotify Username / Password credentials. You may need to complete the Spotify Desktop Player Authentication Configuration setup in order to get your devices to support this. Note that if you have Google Chromecast or Sonos devices, then you probably already have this set up and there should not be any impact. This is due to the recent July 2026 Spotify developer changes to various authentication processes in their Spotify Web API backend.
