History just got a big upgrade!
Jellydash can now import your existing Playback Reporting data, browse beyond the first 100 plays, and show Jellyfin profile pictures throughout the dashboard.
- Import existing plays from a Playback Reporting TSV backup,
playback_reporting.db, or directly from the installed plugin API. - Preview the number of plays before importing. Re-importing safely skips duplicates, and imported plays never trigger notifications.
- Browse older History with stable pagination while keeping your search, user, library and date filters.
- See Jellyfin profile pictures in Now Playing, History and Statistics, with initials when no image is available.
- Open the importer anytime from History or Settings. It no longer depends on an empty History and does not open another startup popup.
- Added contribution guidelines and a few smaller SQLite setup improvements.
Importing Playback Reporting history
Open Import history from the History page, or use the importer in Settings. You can drop in a TSV backup or the plugin's playback_reporting.db file. If the plugin is still installed and compatible, Import from Jellyfin (API) appears too.
Jellydash resolves users, runtimes and libraries against Jellyfin when possible. Dates and watched time stay faithful to the source data. You can safely run the import again later to pick up missing rows or enrich records that Jellyfin could not resolve the first time.
The full details are in the import guide.
Updating
Both MariaDB and SQLite installations update normally:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dA huge thank you to Thomas DELORGE for contributing History pagination, Jellyfin profile pictures and the Playback Reporting importer. This release would not exist without all that work. 💜
