Quiver 2.1.0
Quiver 2.1.0 focuses on App Catalog onboarding, review workflow polish, and UI refinements — building on the 2.0 rebrand and catalog foundation.
Highlights
- First-run onboarding — Welcome dialog on first launch, then automatic jump to App Catalog → Review with the New filter
- Community App Catalog — Fresh installs ship with an empty library; the official Quiver Community App Catalog is subscribed by default
- Smarter catalog review — Clearer filters, hide/ignore flows, and less confusion around “reviewed” vs “synced”
App Catalog
Community catalog & library
- Empty local
apps.jsonon fresh install — your library is built from catalog review - Default subscription to the Quiver Community App Catalog (hosted in a separate repo)
- First-run welcome intro before opening catalog review
Review filters & browsing
- Not in library — Browse all catalog apps you haven’t added yet, including ignored ones (unlike New, which only shows items still needing a decision)
- Hide from review — Hide apps per catalog source; manage them under the Hidden filter
- Filter chips show counts where helpful (e.g. Needs review, Not in library, Hidden)
Review workflow UX
- Auto-mark reviewed when all review items are synced or resolved (Add all new, per-row actions, ignore, etc.) — no extra “dismiss” step when nothing is left
- Skip & mark reviewed — Only shown when actionable items remain; use it to skip remaining changes without syncing
- Version display uses Reviewed v… / Not reviewed yet instead of confusing Acknowledged v0
- Needs review empty state — When everything is caught up, quick Back to Library and Back to sources buttons
UI & launcher
- Check for updates moved to the top bar with status tooltip, progress indicator, and update badge
- Options menu on app tiles — Launch, download, version management, and related actions via context menu
- Dark theme polish for context menus and menu items
- Top bar spacing tweaks (version, updates, settings, window controls)
Development & releases
- Release CI — Tag
v*releases to build and attach Windows, Linux, and macOS artifacts - Expanded automated test coverage for catalog sync, settings, and headless UI smoke tests
- README updated — Documents Quiver as a fork of GithubLauncher with tag filters, App Catalog library management, UI improvements, and the Quiver rebrand
