Govee LED BLE 7.6.0
This stable release brings together the H6099 implementation and both H6199
fix sets previously published in the 7.6.0 release candidates.
H6099 TV Backlight 3 Lite
- Adds an exact-model implementation with evidence-selected encrypted BLE transport, basic light controls, 14 logical zones and the exact 240-scene catalogue.
- Adds Basic/Mixed/Graffiti DIY, onboard music and video workflows in Effect Studio, plus installation direction and camera health controls.
- Adds service-only DreamView configuration. Membership is locally authored and unconfirmed, not device-readback state.
- H6099 requires manual addition or reconfiguration. Advanced and Workshop remain unavailable; physical IC discovery and firmware gates limit dependent controls.
H6099 remains Experimental. Its owner reported successful connection on
v7.6.0-rc.1.h6099; control, rendering, readback and restoration qualification
remain outstanding. Inclusion in this stable package is explicitly
maintainer-approved, not a claim of complete hardware qualification.
See the H6099 support record.
H6199 Controls And Reliability
- Preserves retained white balance and music settings, including fixed-colour metadata and zero sensitivity, and qualifies native controls against device identity.
- Stops unsupported optional queries from rejecting otherwise successful basic setup and keepalive. Required readback failures and real disconnects remain errors.
- Uses transaction-fresh observations for segment and Gradient verification, and prevents unrelated white-balance recovery from blocking power restoration.
- Applies effective device capabilities consistently across entities, Effect Studio, incoming state and physical writes, including reconnect and protocol-change races.
- Preserves unknown protocol extension bytes through Kaitai parsing and serialization and corrects H6099 direction acknowledgement classification.
Known H6199 Pact 1/1 devices expose on/off only. Brightness, colour, music,
segments, video, effects and Effect Studio remain unavailable for this variant.
Hardware version alone does not select Pact; an unknown Pact preserves existing
behaviour without proving compatibility. See the
Pact 1 limits.
The earlier H6199 controls RC received partial live register qualification on
HW 3.02.01 / FW 1.10.04, Pact 2/1. Those results do not qualify the older
HW 1.00.01 / FW 1.07.02 device in #293, or establish physical qualification
of every subsequent software correction. Older-device reporter testing remains
outstanding; this release does not claim that every #293/#294 symptom is resolved.
Updating
- Home Assistant Core 2026.9.0 or newer is required.
- Update through HACS or install the attached
ha_govee_led_ble.zip, then restart Home Assistant. Beta versions are not required for this stable release. - Existing entries do not need removal. Use Reconfigure to correct an H6099 model selection while preserving entry and entity identity.
- If setup or a control fails, provide the exact version and redacted diagnostics immediately after the failure. Do not post unredacted logs or device identifiers.
