🚀 rVclient v1.7.74

Everything the beta has been testing, now for everyone: watch your own matches back, a proper way to report a bug, and a handful of fixes to things that had been quietly annoying people for a while.

🎬 Watch your matches — My Matches

A new page in the launcher. Every match you play shows up with when it was, which mode, how you placed and who else was in it — and when the server that hosted it was recording, there is a Watch button.

• The match plays in its own window, so a game you are already in is never interrupted. Close that window and you are back — nothing else changes.
• The whole HUD is on the launcher side, next to the picture: who the camera is on, their health, stamina, fame, perk level, pods, what they are holding and carrying, and everybody in the match in a grid you can click to follow somebody else.
• Controls: play / pause, −10s / +10s, 0.5× / 1× / 2×, drag the timeline to any moment, and a free camera you fly yourself with WASD.
• Sound comes through, with a mute button, and it keeps playing when you click away to something else.
• Report straight from the replay: the player on camera, at the moment you are looking at, goes onto the report form for you.
• Your history is yours. Every match has a Delete match button — it leaves your history, recorded or not, and everyone else who played it keeps theirs. A match with a recording also has Delete replay, if you want the video gone but the match kept. (A match somebody reported keeps its footage while the report is looked at.)

Not every match has a recording — a server only records if its host turned it on, and the recording is kept for a few days (longer if somebody reported that match).

🐞 Bug reports — Submit a Ticket → Bug report

The ticket form has a third kind, for when something is wrong with the game or the launcher rather than with a person.

• Clip links (YouTube, Streamable, Medal, Twitch, Kick…) like a report.
• Filed from a match you were just in? It carries the match with it.
• Send your logs with it: tick the box for the tail of your launcher log, press Collect my log files and the launcher gathers the ones it knows about itself, or attach a file (a .log, or a .zip of them). They are checked before they are sent and again when they arrive — log files only.
• The ticket says Log files sent with this once they are there, so you know they arrived.

🩹 Fixed

• An update that did not finish no longer pretends it did. If the game files could not be replaced, the launcher used to write down the new version anyway and report itself up to date from then on — leaving you on an old client with no way out but a clean reinstall. It now checks the files that actually landed, and goes by the client on disk rather than by its own note. An install already stuck like that repairs itself on the next check.
• A frontend that came up with nothing in it. On some PCs the game could reach the menu with no modes, no title cards and nothing in the store, and stay that way until it was restarted — an empty, black-looking screen. The cause is found and handled.
• My Matches reads as a match again. A match with no recording no longer leaves a large empty picture frame in the middle of the page; the space goes to the summary and the timeline, and it simply says why that match cannot be watched.
• Jumping around a replay no longer takes the replay down. Dragging the timeline a few times, or jumping twice in a row, used to kill the replay window. It holds now, however fast you scrub — the controls grey out for a second while the match is rebuilt from that point.
• The replay window keeps playing (and keeps its sound) when it is not the window you are clicking in.
• A match you watch opens on the right player instead of on the island.
• The log the launcher writes starts a new day with a date line and says which time zone its times are in, which makes a log you send us far easier to read.
• My account vs Report on the ticket form no longer borrow each other's options.
• The launcher repairs a broken game display setting before starting the game, instead of the game coming up on a black screen.
• A match that is no longer there no longer sits in the list. If a match left your history while the page was open, clicking it said "that match is not in your history" over a list still showing it. The list refreshes instead, and says why.

📥 Updating

The launcher updates itself — open it and let it do its thing. If yours has been insisting it is up to date while something is clearly missing, that is the first fix in the list: it will sort itself out on this update.
