Launcher update for everyone. The game mod (Client.dll) is unchanged from 1.7.70 - this is
the launcher only, so there is nothing to relearn and nothing changes in a match.
Donate
A new Donate tab with the two places support can go, side by side:
- rVclient - the backend everyone uses whichever server they play on (accounts, friends,
parties, matchmaking, stats), the official servers we rent and run, voice chat, the website
and domain, and code signing. - Community servers - the players who host servers themselves: their own box or VPS,
regions we have no official server in, extra lobbies when it is busy. That page is theirs
and the money goes to them.
They are two separate pots, and a donation to one does not reach the other. Nothing is
required and nothing is sold - donations are gifts, not purchases, and buy nothing in game.
Servers
- A region you hid can always be turned back on. If you had hidden a region, it could
disappear with no way back: the "Hidden regions" group only appeared with Region headers
turned on, which is off by default. It now shows underneath the server list, and one tap on
its switch brings the region back.
Submit a Ticket
- My account tickets actually send. Pressing SEND TICKET did nothing but spin - no ticket
was created and the team never saw it. You now get a ticket number straight away, and the
team can read what you wrote. - Each tab shows its own form. Opening "My account" and going back to "Report a player"
left the account subjects on screen until you restarted the launcher. Report a player, My
account and Appeal a ban each show their own fields, steps and help text now. - If you already have a ticket open about the same thing, you are taken to it instead of
opening a second one. - If something goes wrong, you get a reason instead of a button that never comes back.
Linux and Mac
- Missing icons fixed. Several icons showed as a plain circle - the help icon on Submit a
Ticket (including the My account form), Update channel in Settings, and the Donate tab's
sidebar icon. Every icon the launcher uses has been checked, not just the reported ones. - The username suggestion list could stay on screen on the My account tab. Fixed.
Updating
Open the launcher and it updates itself, or Settings - Updates - Check for updates.
