Performance: the mod no longer drops your frame rate
Some players reported the game dropping to 30-60 fps with the mod loaded, and running fine without it. This build fixes the cause.
Root cause: the mod runs small background checks on the game thread - keeping your character on screen, the friends list populated, the emote wheel labelled, the Settings > Audio rows wired up, etc. Each check scans the game's full list of live objects to find the widget or actor it needs, and in a running match that list is over two million entries. Most checks were already rate-limited to a few times a second, but two of them - the Settings > Audio device rows and the Auto-Load Character row - had no rate limit and ran that full scan on every rendered frame. On a fast CPU that's a few ms per frame; on a slower one it's enough to halve your frame rate.
Fix: those two checks are now rate-limited like the rest (twice a second - the Settings tab appearing is a human-speed event, not a per-frame one). The scan cost is now paid a handful of times a second total instead of once per frame, removing the steady frame-rate hit.
Follow-up: a later build will make the remaining periodic checks cheaper still (a shared cached object lookup instead of each check doing its own scan), which should also smooth the occasional 1-frame hitch when a slower check fires.
Nothing to configure; no settings change.
Updating
- Close the game completely.
- Copy the new
Client.dllinto…\Rumbleverse\Binaries\Win64\, overwriting the old one. - Launch - done. Your
RVVoiceConfig.txtsettings are kept.
(Auto-updater installs this automatically on next launch.)
