Server setup 2026.10.2 - Community & private servers
Installs server version 2026.10.2.7 - our current stable server build (the same one the official rVclient servers run), now with a 40-player limit per match.
What's new
- VPS / dedicated servers are no longer mistaken for home PCs. Some hosting companies' addresses look like home internet, so setup used to switch those machines to a private server on its own. Setup now recognises many more hosting providers and checks the machine itself (Windows Server, virtual machine). If it still looks like a home connection, setup asks you: answer y if you rent this machine from a hosting company (VPS / dedicated server) to set up a community server - an admin checks it when reviewing your server. On a home PC, keep the recommended private server.
Host your own Rumbleverse server:
- Private server - on your own PC, for you and your friends over Tailscale or Radmin VPN. Friends on your network see it in their launcher and can pick it as their region.
- Community server - on a VPS or dedicated server. Public matchmaking servers need admin approval before they become part of the rVclient network; once approved, yours joins matchmaking for your region, shown as Community in the launcher.

Requires rVclient 1.7.49 or newer and your own copy of the game (we never provide game files).
