Electron desktop preview for manual testing on macOS and Windows.

This is an unsigned testing prerelease, built from main commit 1a860a57b4d0ca27bcebbfd712a7e45e6fa4a6c9 (PR #133). It is not the signed desktop release used by the automatic installer. Manual user acceptance testing is still pending.

Choose your download

  • Mac with Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4 or newer): sandboxd-desktop-0.3.23-mac-arm64.dmg
  • Mac with Intel processor: sandboxd-desktop-0.3.23-mac-x64.dmg
  • Windows with Intel/AMD processor: sandboxd-desktop-0.3.23-win-x64.exe
  • Windows on ARM (for example Snapdragon): sandboxd-desktop-0.3.23-win-arm64.exe

Mac ZIP bundles are also provided. SHA256SUMS records every package checksum.

Test the client

Use the DMG on macOS or the setup EXE on Windows. These builds have no trusted publisher signature or Apple notarization, so Gatekeeper or SmartScreen may warn or block launching them. Signed distribution remains pending signing credentials; the standard automatic installers intentionally require signed packages.

The app is a client of the sandboxd engine. It does not bundle or start an engine. Connect to your running local engine at http://127.0.0.1:9090, or choose Remote engine and enter an HTTPS engine API address. Sign in with the engine console account (or create the first password on a new engine).

Please test onboarding/login, engine switching, project creation, agent conversations, files, terminal, previews, exports, window resizing, closing/reopening, and reconnection. Closing the desktop app leaves engine workloads running.

Automated validation

The exact packaged artifacts come from the successful native desktop CI run. Installation/extraction and installed-app launch passed on macOS ARM64/x64 and Windows ARM64/x64, alongside desktop interaction and security-boundary tests. The engine and console CI suite also passed. Native client CI uses a disposable API fixture; real Docker Desktop/WSL integration still needs manual validation.

See desktop documentation at this commit for prerequisites and source-build instructions.
