What's new
🧊 Fixed: the freeze when the next match loads
• After a few online matches the game could freeze while loading the next one, and your opponent saw "stopped answering". Cause found and fixed: the game swapped in an empty loading screen when the same screen was requested twice. In our tests this fix stopped three freezes in a single session.
✨ A brand-new launcher
• Frosted-glass look over a living background with glowing embers, a big PLAY button, and cards for your account, the game and the news.
• Sign in with Discord right on the start page: your rank, wins and losses show there.
• Settings: the important options under Basics (window size, picture quality from Low to Ultra, widescreen, voice chat, HD textures), everything else under Advanced. The old Online page is now Voice chat.
🔔 You won't miss an update any more
• The launcher checks for new builds every 5 minutes while it's open.
• While you play it waits in the system tray and sends a Windows notification when a new build is out. Close the game and the launcher opens again with the update.
• In the game: a notice in the menus every 10 minutes (never during a fight) and a red UPDATE badge on the online pages.
🏷️ Fixed: "CPU" on the Match Summary
• After online matches both fighters were tagged "CPU". They now show as the players they are.
How to update: start the launcher and click Update (or Install now).
Rollback netcode is still in testing and comes back once it survives our long multi-match tests.

What you need
- Windows 10/11, 64-bit
- Your own USA Xbox copy of the game, dumped to your PC (see the disc guide). PS2 and GameCube versions do not work. This download contains no game data: the setup checks your dump and builds the game on your PC.
Install
Download DefJamSetup-0.7.2-remaster.24-windows-x64.exe, run it, point it at your dump. The setup is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose "More info" and "Run anyway". Installed copies update through the launcher.
