FFNY Online build 41. Def Jam: Fight for NY on PC with online multiplayer. Unofficial fan project, built on Vlad Yanhursky's DefJamFFNY-recomp.
What's new
New
- PlayStation buttons: the online screens can show Cross, Circle, Square and Triangle. Setting "Button icons": Auto (picks them when you play with a PS3/PS4/PS5 controller), Xbox or PlayStation. In the launcher (Basics, Controls) and in game with F1.
- Discord status: your Discord profile shows "Playing FFNY Online" with what you're doing: the menus, the online lobby, your room, or your fight (mode, venue, your fighter, your opponents). Switch it off with "Discord status" in the launcher or with F1.
Fixes and work in progress
- Story mode fighters: one of the two out-of-sync causes is fixed. They stay switched off online until the second one is fixed too.
- Groundwork for rollback netcode and for watching fights (not switched on yet).
How to update: start the launcher and click Update. Older builds can't play online after the update.
What you need
- Windows 10/11, 64-bit
- Your own USA Xbox copy of the game, dumped to your PC (see the disc guide). PS2 and GameCube versions do not work. This download contains no game data: the setup checks your dump and builds the game on your PC.
Install
Download DefJamSetup-0.12.2-remaster.41-windows-x64.exe, run it, point it at your dump. The setup is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose "More info" and "Run anyway". Installed copies update through the launcher.
