Build 37 – Patch notes
Fair play
- Leaving a running fight through the menu, quitting the game, or freezing your game no longer erases a loss. When both games say the other one left, the player who dropped out first takes the loss.
- Your game now notices when it stood still during a fight (a frozen or suspended game, not a bad connection) and says so in its match report.
- Match reports now include how long the fight ran and each fighter's health, so the team can see how a fight ended.
- The team sees when known cheat, debugger, lag-switch or freeze tools are running during an online fight, and when two accounts play on the same PC. Only those tool names are reported, no other programs. Details: play.defjam.online/privacy
Online
- Server restarts are announced in the game with a countdown. No new fight starts during the countdown, and fights already running are played to the end.
- No fight starts while the account server can't be reached, so no result gets lost.
Fixes
- The Guide button no longer opens the overlay (it opened mid-fight). The overlay is on L3+R3 and F1. If you set your own buttons, they stay.
- A mouse pointer resting on an online menu entry no longer keeps the controller from moving the selection.
Known issues
- In long fights the two games can still drift out of sync ("this match won't count"). The fix is next.
How to update: the launcher offers Build 37 on its own. Older builds can't play online after the update.
