- Faster cold screenshot overlay — pre-capture the screen before activation, keep the WindowServer capture path warm while idle, and avoid blocking the overlay on full redraw work.
- Preview actions scale with preview size — Copy and Save controls now resize with the screenshot preview size setting.

- Transient UI capture — hotkey captures now preserve disappearing UI such as Raycast, Alfred, app menus, and the Apple menu.
- Previous app focus restore — completing or cancelling a capture returns focus to the app that was active before macshot opened the overlay.
- Floating thumbnails no longer leak into the next capture while preserving fast capture startup.
- Preview Save panel activation — Save now brings its dialog to the front on the first click.
- Preview Copy and Pin sounds — these actions no longer replay the capture sound.
- Video text editing style — double-click editing keeps alignment and background styling stable instead of switching to an ugly editing style.
- OCR fallback — if accurate recognition fails, macshot retries quickly with fast recognition.
