Added
- Customizable overlay/editor tool shortcuts — tool shortcuts (P=Pencil, R=Rectangle, etc.) are now configurable in Preferences > Shortcuts. Each tool can be assigned a single key or set to None. Added Ellipse shortcut (O) by default.
- Audio merge dialog — when recording with both system audio and microphone, a dialog appears after recording with volume sliders for each source. "Merge Audio" combines both into a single track for universal player compatibility; "Keep Separate" preserves the original two-track file.
- "Also open in Editor" option — new checkbox in Preferences > General > Capture. When enabled, quick capture (Enter, hotkey, scroll capture) performs the save/copy action AND opens the editor with the image and annotations.
Changed
- Recording audio quality — audio bitrate increased to 256kbps AAC with explicit stereo channel layout for better quality and broader player compatibility.
- Recording video metadata — BT.709 color primaries, transfer function, and YCbCr matrix are now embedded in the video track for correct color rendering across all players.
- Recording audio sync — audio samples arriving before the first video frame are buffered and flushed when the session starts, preventing gaps at the beginning of recordings. Single serial queue for all recording I/O eliminates data races.
- Mic audio track priority — when both system audio and mic are recorded, the mic track is written first so players that only decode the first audio track get the mic content.
Fixed
- Recording HUD disappearing — the recording control bar and selection border sometimes vanished when starting a recording. Caused by
NSApp.hide()racing with panel creation; replaced withNSApp.deactivate().
