- Breaking change: The file path in File/Image fields is now saved without encoding because URL encoding for the web should generally be done in the front-end code. However, if you want to save encoded paths in the data, you can use the new
encode_file_pathoutput option. This solves #404. - Added support for the Gitea backend. For a better performance, it uses a new efficient API method added in Gitea 1.24, which is currently in RC and will be released in the coming days. This solves #198. (Thanks, @denyskon!) This means the backend is not yet compatible with Forgejo. Support for Forgejo is tracked in #381.
- Our Gitea backend won’t cause 400 Bad Request errors due to the presence of
DRAFT_MEDIA_FILESin file paths. This effectively solves decaporg/decap-cms#7281, which was prematurely closed. - Added a user preference to disable the Escape keyboard shortcut for closing the entry editor. This solves #409.
