- With the Editorial Workflow, a Relation field can now create a related entry on the fly. The new entry goes into the pull request of the entry being edited, so the two are reviewed and published together. Its card on the Editorial Workflow page is the one of the entry you’re editing, e.g. “Also adds Section: Guides”. See Entries Added from a Relation Field. (#1112)
- With the Editorial Workflow, marking an entry as Ready now approves its pull/merge request on GitHub, GitLab, Gitea or Forgejo, and moving it back withdraws the approval. Reviewers no longer have to leave the CMS to meet a branch protection rule that requires an approval. See Approvals. This effectively solves decaporg/decap-cms#1593 and decaporg/decap-cms#7200.
