Implementation Details

• Smoother Player: The player screen no longer redraws itself on every position update, and the seek bar wave and album art pulse animate without recomposing, so playback stays smooth on low-end phones.
• Faster Startup: Startup code is now precompiled on install, and the update check waits until the first screen has loaded.
• Video Audio Fix: Video mode no longer goes silent after skipping to the next song.
• 4K Video: Added 1440p and 4K video quality; 60fps streams are now picked correctly.
• Video Track Switch: When the song changes in video mode, the next video's thumbnail and a spinner show until it starts, like YouTube.
• Half-Playing Songs: Fixed songs and downloads that played halfway and then turned to noise when YouTube served a different audio format.

• Swipe to Expand: The mini player opens the full player with a shorter swipe or a quick flick.
• Android Auto: Previous/next stay in place on car screens and steering wheel controls, with extra actions moved to the overflow menu.
• App Updates: Update downloads are more reliable: no duplicate downloads, cancel button, checksum and package verification, a clear Install button and readable error messages.
• Album Art Pulse: Pulse Intensity (100–150%) now produces a much stronger breathing glow.
• Classic Seek Bar: Restyled with a Material 3 Expressive pill thumb, track gap and end dot.
• Lyrics Settings: Redesigned lyrics settings sheet with accent colours, units, 0.1s sync steps and a Reset button.
• Share Insights: Listening stats can now be shared as an image.
• Wrapped: Duplicate tracks are merged and featured artists are grouped under the main artist.
• Listen Together: Paste the whole invite message to join; the room code is picked out automatically.
