Required kernel: 6.18.x ~ 7.3.x
For older kernel (v6.12 ~ v6.18), please use the 2025.12.10.2 release.
Note: The Host and Guest are not strictly required to use the same module version.
🚨 Important Update for Xe_LP Platforms (TGL / ADL / RPL)
Starting from version 2026.09.16/2025.12.10.1, CCS is no longer enabled by default on Xe_LP platforms.
If you encounter issues running Windows guest VMs, please append the appropriate parameter to your host kernel command line:
- For i915 driver:
i915.xelp_enable_ccs=1 - For xe driver:
xe.xelp_enable_ccs=1
Compatibility Note: All guest drivers prior to 2026.09.16/2025.12.10.1 implicitly rely on CCS on Xe_LP platforms. If your guest VM still runs an older driver, ensure CCS enabled on the host.
For more information regarding this update, please refer to #498.
