Note: This is a beta version and NOT ready for use in production.
Identity
- Password reset and email confirmation links no longer stop working when the identity server restarts or is redeployed, and they now work across multiple identity server instances. The keys that sign them are now kept in MongoDB (the new
dataprotection.keyscollection), encrypted withNOTESNOOK_API_SECRETlike the token keys.- Any password reset or email confirmation links sent before you upgrade will no longer work once the upgrade is done. These links expire after 2 hours anyway, so this only affects links sent shortly before upgrading; users can simply request a new one. Links sent after the upgrade are not affected.
- If you change
NOTESNOOK_API_SECRET, links sent before the change stop working; new ones work as usual.
Sync
- A short Redis outage no longer takes the sync server offline.
/healthno longer includes the Redis check, so load balancers and Docker no longer mark every instance unhealthy (or restart them) while Redis is unavailable. The full check, Redis included, is now available at/ready.
Events
- Fix the events (SSE) server crashing when handling a message fails; the error is now logged instead.
