🚀📦 PXPlay PC v2.9.0 Beta - PS Remote Play with Multiplayer and Frame Pacing support
Finally, the newest PXPlay PC Beta v2.9.0 before the next major release, v3.0.0, has dropped and is available for Windows, Linux and macOS.
This final beta introduces several major features, performance improvements and fixes. Feedback and bug reports are highly appreciated before the v3.0.0 release.
Major Highlights
Local Multiplayer
- Added local multiplayer support for PS4 and PS5.
- Added microphone and exit-game controller mappings.
Smoother Streaming
- D3D12 rendering engine for Windows
- Added improved frame pacing support for D3D11, Metal and Vulkan.
- Added frame generation and interpolation.
- Improved streaming performance and input latency.
- Added frame-pacing override settings per console.
- Improved startup and controller initialization times.
DualSense and Controller Improvements
- Added DualSense haptic feedback over Bluetooth.
- Added Steam Deck haptic support.
- Steam Deck touchpads can now be used as the DualSense touchpad.
- Gamepad mappings no longer require every button to be mapped.
- Added support for custom gamepad mapping files.
- Improved adaptive triggers, haptic intensity and controller LED forwarding.
Touch and Onscreen Controls
- Added experimental multitouch support for native stream windows on Windows.
- Improved touchscreen long-press behavior.
- Added configurable onscreen touchpad sizes.
PSN and Profile Improvements
- Improved PSN token refresh and warning handling.
- Added console wake-up controls. (can be enabled in the appearance settings)
- Added save 4 digit PIN support.
- Added support for PSN account IDs larger than signed Int64 values.
- Improved profile, registration and direct-launch handling.
Additional Improvements
- Improved Steam shortcut and launch-argument support.
- Added RGB overlays to native rendering engines.
- Improved gamepad navigation in streaming dialogs.
- Improved window-size and fullscreen handling.
- Added Hebrew translation.
- Improved Windows ARM64 packaging and native library signing.
- Numerous UI refinements, bug fixes and stability improvements.
Beta Notes
This is (probably) the final beta before PXPlay PC v3.0.0. Minor issues may still remain, especially with platform-specific hardware and third-party overlays.
Please include the following when reporting an issue:
- Operating system and version
- GPU model and driver version
- Rendering backend
- Controller model and connection type
- Streaming resolution and settings
- Whether Local Play, Remote Play or Steam launch was used
- And attach the log files
