📦 PXPlay PC v2.1.0 Beta
PXPlay PC v2.1.0 Beta is now available.
Important: This release fixes the recent SSL connection issues with Sony’s servers that prevented affected users from using PSN-related functionality.
This is an early beta of the next major PXPlay desktop update. It is being released earlier than originally planned because the Sony server SSL issue required an urgent update.
Some planned improvements are still in development, so minor issues may remain. Feedback and bug reports are appreciated.
Major Highlights
Important Connection Fix
- Fixed the recent SSL compatibility issues with Sony’s servers.
- Restored affected PSN-related functionality and server communication.
DualSense Improvements
- Improved adaptive trigger feedback.
- Haptic feedback intensity now follows the PlayStation settings.
- Added controller lightbar and LED forwarding.
- Added an option to use SDL 3 sensor acceleration with fallback support.
- Fixed keyboard mappings in native rendering views.
PSN and Console Management
- Added remote console registration through PSN.
- Consoles are now displayed separately for each profile.
- Added an improved profile editing section.
- Added recently played PlayStation game information.
- Games can now be started directly on the PlayStation through PSN.
- Improved handling and presentation of expired PSN tokens.
Steam and Direct Launch Support
- Added support for creating PXPlay shortcuts in Steam.
- Registered consoles can be added individually to the Steam library.
- Steam shortcuts can launch directly into a Remote Play session.
- Improved startup performance and direct-launch handling (Still WIP).
Streaming and Rendering
- Added custom Vulkan/libplacebo shader support.
- Added Ambient display mode (like on YouTube to avoid black bars).
- Added more aspect-ratio options and an in-stream aspect-ratio button.
- Added a live performance overlay.
- Improved the native rendering interface and dialogs.
- Added an option to disable stream audio completely.
- Added support for onscreen audio volume keys.
- Improved stream window startup and transition behavior.
Additional Improvements
- Improved startup time. (WIP)
- Improved license and EULA interfaces.
- Added Windows ARM64 installer support.
- General bug fixes, UI refinements and stability improvements.
Beta Notes
This is not the final v2.1.0 release. Additional features, fixes and platform-specific improvements are still planned.
