Better Dual Screen Assistant Release Notes — First Public Release 1.0.0

Welcome to the initial v1.0.0 release of Better Dual Screen Assistant for the AYN Thor! Built as a drop-in, non-destructive replacement for the stock DualScreenAssistant, this release delivers 1:1 visual and functional parity on the bottom screen while adding a rich Companion Settings hub on the top screen, customizable Quick Setting toggles, dual-screen volume and joystick LED sliders, custom theming with OS-wide Material You accent injection, automatic stock assistant recovery on uninstall, and built-in GitHub & Obtainium update support.

• 1:1 Stock Assistant Parity on the Bottom Screen (2b1faf8): Recreates the complete bottom-screen assistant experience—including screen mode switching, independent brightness and volume controls, performance profiles, fan speed modes with custom curves, quick tools, and live CPU/GPU/RAM/Power telemetry gauges.
• Non-Destructive Stock Assistant Suppression & Automatic Uninstall Recovery (5382919): Cleanly suspends the built-in assistant while active and automatically wakes the stock assistant and restores dual-screen display state if Better Dual Screen Assistant is ever uninstalled or force-stopped.
• Categorized Quick Setting Toggles & Hardware Tools (288469c, a9a7431): Expands the bottom-screen Quick Settings grid with customizable Android system toggles (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Auto-Rotate, Flashlight, Airplane Mode, Battery Saver, Night Light, Location, Hotspot) and AYN Thor hardware utilities (Swap Screens, Screenshot, Mute All, Lock Device, Clear Background Apps, Performance Overlay).
• Stick LED Brightness & Linked Dual-Screen Sliders (1607b90, f9b690e, 8a0d8fe): Adds a dedicated joystick LED brightness slider alongside linked dual-screen brightness and volume sliders that control both displays simultaneously and automatically dim when only a single screen is active.
• Two-Column Landscape Companion Settings Hub (b7a8d94, 01d9d8b, bebde06): Introduces a dedicated top-screen settings app optimized for landscape navigation, allowing you to configure overlay controls, quick toggles, themes, and assistant behavior in real time.
• Seamless Top- & Bottom-Screen Coordination (e21412d, 94dd474, ea1a5b5): Adds an optional settings shortcut button to the bottom-screen navigation bar, automatically opens the bottom-screen overlay for live previewing when launching Companion Settings on the top screen, and optionally remembers your last open overlay tab.
• Custom Themes, System-Wide Material You Colors & Companion Sync (628361c, fc8ff2b, 5e555d5): Includes 5 built-in themes (Stock Console, Obsidian Gold, Thor Blue, Emerald Matrix, Neon Cyber), custom accent color presets, reversible OS-wide Material You dynamic color theming across Android 13, and automatic live theme syncing when Megingiard is installed.
• Automatic & Manual GitHub Update Checks + Obtainium Integration (ecba748): Checks GitHub Releases for new versions in the background (and on demand from the About tab), with a one-tap option to add Better Dual Screen Assistant directly to Obtainium for automatic updates.
• Custom Dual-Screen Launcher Icon & Polished Labels (604c3d7, b6f1210, 914f44e): Features an adaptive dual-screen plus launcher icon, clearer overlay control labels, and a streamlined release interface that hides developer diagnostics outside debug builds.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• System Brightness Pulldown Synchronization (87098ba): Ensures the assistant's brightness sliders immediately reflect changes made from the Android Quick Settings notification shade.
• Security & Privileged Service Hardening (f3b710f): Hardens internal privileged communication and locks down app components so other installed apps cannot spoof hardware key broadcasts or invoke privileged actions.
