CodexBar 0.71.0

Highlights

  • Two new providers: Muse (muse.ai) and LithosAI read your own subscription usage and balance with your browser session, bringing CodexBar to 89 providers (#4042, #4196). Thanks @lg, @mvicari, @RowboTony, and @apoorvdarshan!
  • Safer by default: CodexBar never runs binaries from the current directory or relative PATH entries, and Codex discovery refuses unsafe Node environments and PATH entries before launching anything (#4136, #4143). Thanks @maugt and @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Much lighter cost tracking: a long series of CPU and allocation cuts for Claude, Vertex, Codex, and local agent logs, plus cached Gatekeeper verdicts for unchanged CLIs. Thanks @dustball!
  • Antigravity for every account: saved Google accounts each get their own quota through private, temporary sessions, OAuth quota requests identify as the Antigravity Hub client, and token totals are mapped correctly (#4103, #4102, #4124, #4133). Thanks @Sogl, @oldcai, and @urda!
  • Steadier sync and agent awareness: iCloud Sync recovers after a Mac is removed and applies results atomically, Agent-aware Adaptive notices Codex activity from rollout freshness, and agent sessions survive in-place CLI updates (#4144, #4161, #4119, #4120). Thanks @hhh2210 and @slavakurilyak!
  • Opt-in reset notifications tell you when a session or weekly window resets, per provider and account (#4138). Thanks @zleo-ai!

Security

  • Resolve bundled helpers and plugin resources from the running executable, and ignore working-directory-dependent CLI search paths (#4136). Thanks @maugt!

Added

  • Muse (muse.ai): track Free, Power, and Maximum weekly usage, tokens left, top-ups, resets, and renewal with Chrome or manual cookies, separately from Muse Code (#3797, #4042). Thanks @lg, @mvicari, and @RowboTony!
  • LithosAI: show console prepaid balance and optional daily/monthly spend using Chrome or manual session cookies, with host-owned same-origin CSRF handling (#3868, #4196). Thanks @apoorvdarshan!
  • Antigravity: fetch quotas for saved Google accounts through private, temporary agy sessions, verify each account's identity, and retain refreshed credentials without changing the ambient CLI login (#4103). Thanks @Sogl!
  • Notifications: opt-in reset alerts name the provider and session or weekly window, keep restored notices on the correct account, respect Hide personal info, and remember announced reset boundaries across refreshes and restarts (#4138). Thanks @zleo-ai!

Changed

  • Agent-aware Adaptive: use recent Codex rollout modification times to keep refreshes at five minutes even without a recognized live process, preserving consent and scan limits without reading rollout contents for activity (#4119, #4118). Thanks @hhh2210!
  • Antigravity: restore OAuth quota requests for saved Google accounts with the shared Hub client identity (#4102). Thanks @oldcai!
  • Docs: link the community codexbar-kde Plasma widget for Linux usage meters and agent-session views (#4117). Thanks @materemias!
  • Costs: Claude and Vertex history does far less CPU work: unchanged history is not re-saved or re-priced, reports are not rebuilt when model pricing is unchanged, older transcripts and Claude/Vertex separation are scanned cheaply, and pricing refreshes keep historical fallback rates.
  • Codex: cost scans reuse listing metadata, cache decoders, thread database discovery, and day keys, conversation titles load cheaply for large histories, and cached logs reconcile without extra filesystem probes.
  • Less background work elsewhere: identifying local agent processes, importing browser sessions for Devin, MiniMax, and Windsurf, and Keychain preflight all use less CPU.
  • Codex: reduce repeated Gatekeeper CPU use for unchanged standalone hardened-runtime CLIs on fully enforcing hosts, checking every architecture’s complete signature before reusing a verdict (#4078, #4080). Thanks @dustball!

Fixed

  • Codex: discover the current ChatGPT bundled CLI launcher and skip npm launchers with missing native payloads or unsafe Node discovery environments so managed login can use a working fallback (#4143). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • iCloud Sync: prevent cancelled or superseded sync applies and removed-record recovery from overwriting provider settings, preferences, fleet records, or newer sync metadata (#4161).
  • Claude: retain an established CLI source after transient timeouts and loading stalls so Auto refreshes can retry without an unrelated missing-OAuth-credentials warning (#4129).
  • Claude: exclude usage-insights tool names and percentages from quota and account parsing (#4083).
  • Claude: keep configured MCP servers out of the direct /usage fallback (#4112). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Menu bar: show the remaining quota when only the third usage window is available, including Gemini Flash Lite-only accounts, through the shared metric fallback (#4128). Thanks @devYRPauli!
  • Codex: finish cost scans with missing-parent forks while retaining their unmetered usage and restoring reporting for unaffected dates (#4140).
  • Cursor: keep Linux serve refreshes authenticated when earlier HTTP responses leave stale cookies in the process session (#4137).
  • Menu bar: apply explicit provider reordering to separate icons, including changes made in merged mode, while retaining stable identities and saved menu bar slots (#4125).
  • Pi: include Amazon Bedrock history with regional catalog prices, price one-hour cache writes correctly, and refresh older cached estimates (#4121).
  • iCloud Sync: recover a live Mac's saves after its records are removed from another Mac, without resetting shared sync state (#4144).
  • iCloud Sync: register for silent change notifications when the signed build supports push; release provisioning must enable that capability for automatic delivery (#4132).
  • Claude: answer current and legacy CLI trust dialogs only in the isolated probe directory, reject redirected paths, and wait for real quota values when usage insights are visible (#4115, #4083). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Agent Sessions: keep sessions that are still running after an in-place CLI update deleted their binary, such as Claude Code sessions started before an auto-update, instead of dropping them from the menu and codexbar sessions (#4120). Thanks @slavakurilyak!
  • OpenCode: restore migrated Console workspace quota and prepaid balance, preserve legacy sessions, and label 30-day spend without inventing a monthly spending limit (#4131, #4139). Thanks @luochen211!
  • Claude: treat unmeasured session placeholders as unavailable while retaining real weekly quotas in menus and the CLI (#4107). Thanks @emanuelst!
  • Claude: show the claude-swap executable field and its help beneath the enabled account toggle (#4122). Thanks @laitifranz!
  • Claude: use a known model-scoped weekly quota for automatic and combined menu bar percentages when the regular quota windows are absent (#4126).
  • Antigravity: exclude model IDs from local token totals, correct visible and reasoning output counts, and estimate safety-routed Gemini Flash usage (#4124). Thanks @urda!
  • Antigravity: apply schema text limits per database so normal histories do not become partial after a few hundred sessions, and retain valid rows around oversized schemas (#4133). Thanks @urda!
