Faster diff view and editor, more languages, and better remote files 🌍

This release adds four interface languages, makes switching workspaces faster by preparing the one you’re about to open, and lets files on SSH hosts and paired servers play, save and open like local ones. It also brings smoother chat streaming, a faster prompt in new Windows terminals, steadier WSL terminals, and many fixes for dictation on the phone.

The short version

Four new languages: German, Russian, Turkish and Traditional Chinese join the language picker, and many more dialogs, menus and shortcuts are translated. German is machine-translated, and reviews from native speakers are welcome.
Faster workspace switching: Hovering a workspace in the sidebar gets it ready, the workspaces next to the current one stay warm, and the switch itself does less work. Dragging a row never switches.
Remote files that work like local ones: Play audio and video from SSH hosts and paired servers, save remote text files up to 50 MB, open folders too big for one reply as you scroll, and never open a remote binary as text.
Smoother chats: Long replies stream with less stutter, @file suggestions keep up in large repositories, and multi-agent Codex chats no longer grow the local chat history to gigabytes. Claude chats can rewind to before your first message.
Steadier terminals: New Windows terminals show their prompt right away instead of after about 3 seconds, closing or resizing a terminal no longer freezes the others on macOS and Linux, and WSL terminals keep their session and folder when their distro stops.
Browser: Clear Google cookies from a profile when Google sign-in is stuck on an old account, import cookies from Vivaldi, and Orca no longer quits at startup on Windows and Linux when an extension’s helper window closes.
Fixes from the community: Kimi K3 for commit messages, Devin Desktop in Open In, highlighting for Glimmer, CUDA, Groovy and shebang scripts, orca worktree create --branch, ~ in the worktree location, MacPorts tools on macOS, and the faster Windows prompt.

Phone & web updates: Dictation on the phone keeps recording through a reconnect, keeps your words through calls and busy taps, gives your audio back when it stops, and explains setup before asking for the microphone. The mobile setup page now sends iPhone installs to the App Store. Korean 10-Key typing, held terminal keys, pairing and file saves on the phone work better, and the phone does less work in the background.

Compatibility & upgrade notes

Same terminal host as v1.4.243: This release keeps v1.4.243’s terminal host instead of starting a fresh one, so terminals open when you update keep running and stay attached. A few terminal fixes run inside the terminal host, such as the faster prompt in new Windows terminals, closing or resizing a terminal without freezing others, and Ctrl+C in Codex. They take effect once the terminal host restarts, for example after you restart your computer.
SSH hosts and paired servers: Some remote fixes need the host’s Orca server on this version too: saving large files, opening very large folders, theme answers for Codex in paired terminals, and copying from Codex started by hand (open a new remote shell after the host updates). Older servers keep their current behavior.
SSH workspaces: Deleting a workspace on an SSH project now offers Remove from Orca, which leaves its files on the host untouched.
Workspace switching: Workspaces still switch on click. Holding the next or previous workspace shortcut (Cmd+Shift+Up/Down) now moves the sidebar highlight and switches once you let go.
Worktree location: A location starting with ~ now means your home folder. A ~ value saved by an earlier version is expanded on the next start.
Word separators: Double-click always breaks words at spaces and tabs, even if your custom Word Separators setting leaves them out. The saved setting doesn’t change.
Mobile setup: The iOS button, QR code and copied link on the mobile setup page point to the App Store. The TestFlight preview option is gone; Android still uses the APK link.
