Bug fixes.
- Game Capture cut clips to a few seconds on Wayland (#261, #274, #287). gpu-screen-recorder can only record a single window in an X11 session, and it counts XWayland as Wayland. Vice kept trying to pin the game's window anyway, and every failed try restarted the recorder and emptied the replay buffer, every few seconds. On Wayland, Game Capture now stays off, the switch says it needs X11, and Vice records the whole display. Nothing changes on X11. Thanks @ViviNoSmol and @Bremitleuchemie for the logs, and @voltek-laruelle for spotting the cause in #274.
- Wrong game on Discord and in clip names (#264). Steam ids were matched as plain text, so Half-Life (
steam_app_70) also matched SCP: Secret Laboratory (steam_app_700330), along with any other game whose id starts with a listed one. Ids have to match in full now. Reported by @TinoTheCuteDuck. - Rocket League and other long executable names went unrecognized (#262). Linux keeps only the first 15 characters of a process name, so
RocketLeague.exeshows up asRocketLeague.exand never matched the list. Vice now uses the shortened name when nothing else identifies the game. Thanks @Amad3eus for the log line that showed it. - Volume sliders reset after a restart (#263). The first volume you set for a source wasn't saved. Reported by @thebrightspark.
vice list-keyscrashed (#278). evdev returns a key that has two names as a pair, which the command didn't expect. Reported by @R3B00P.- The Nix build failed in the test suite (#268). Two tests could signal a stand-in recorder before it had set up its signal handlers, and a slow builder hit that every time. Thanks @yippii for the report.
- The README screenshots were deleted by accident and are back.
The fix for Reveal in file manager on NixOS (#283) is in @voltek-laruelle's #277 and goes out once that's merged.
