v1.3.0 — Audio sources refresh live, track reordering, mic picker, combined mix track

latest releases: v2.15.0, v2.14.3, v2.14.2...

Audio handling quality of life, prompted by #98.

What changed

  • The audio source pickers now refresh every time you open Settings, and the track builder has a refresh button. Apps that start playing audio after Vice launches show up without a restart.
  • Separate audio tracks can be reordered with arrows on each chip. No more removing and re-adding everything to change track 1.
  • New Microphone source setting. The mic toggle can capture any input device, not just the system default. Useful if you record an instrument or a second mic and do not want to change your system default input.
  • New Combined first track option. With separate tracks configured, Vice records an extra track 1 that mixes every source. Players, Discord, and shared clips play track 1, so they get full audio while your separate tracks stay editable.
  • Fixed: with separate tracks configured, the mic toggle was silently ignored. The microphone is now added as its own track.
  • Fixed: turning desktop audio off now also silences configured tracks.
  • Track chips show friendly device names instead of raw PulseAudio ids.
