What's new
- Add an opt-in Brevo driver for creating and updating contacts, checking list membership and subscription status, removing contacts from a list, and deleting contacts. Thanks to @robinvdvleuten for #350.
- Preserve Brevo contact attributes and request errors, encode email identifiers, validate list IDs, and detect per-contact unsubscribe failures.
- Add Laravel facade integration tests using the real Brevo SDK with mocked HTTP responses, and modernize Pest, PHPStan, and CI.
Compatibility and setup
- Requires PHP 8.2+ and Laravel 12 or 13; Laravel 13 requires PHP 8.3+. End-of-life PHP 8.1 and Laravel 9–11 are no longer supported. Existing drivers are unchanged.
- To use Brevo, install
getbrevo/brevo-php:^5.0, selectSpatie\Newsletter\Drivers\BrevoDriver::class, and configurenewsletter.driver_arguments.api_keyandnewsletter.lists.subscribers.id. - Brevo
unsubscriberemoves only the selected or default list membership. Brevodeletepermanently deletes the contact across the account, regardless of list name.
