New in 2.1.0
Emulator linking got bigger. The link menu is organized by platform now, with icons: GameCube (Dolphin for Colosseum and XD saves), Nintendo DS (DraStic alongside melonDS), GBA and GB/GBC (Pizza Boy A and C alongside RetroArch and Linkboy), plus 3DS and Switch as before. Each choice shows what folder to pick before the SAF prompt.
Dolphin notes: link individual .gci saves (GCI Folder or an exported game save). Whole .raw memory cards are deliberately refused with instructions to export via Memory Card Manager, or switch that card slot to GCI Folder. If you use a .gci export, import it back in Dolphin before continuing your game.
Save handling:
- RetroArch compressed battery saves (#RZIP) now open. Your supplied Sapphire (Fix) save was the test case. Edits are written back compressed, and an unchanged file stays byte-for-byte identical. Restore points keep the original container.
- Ruby vs Sapphire: filename hints only resolve the ambiguous RS layout when the name says one or the other, so loose saves show the right game when we can tell.
- Colosseum and XD label properly now, with bundled art for XD.
- Opening an invalid file shows a clear popup instead of failing silently, and your current session stays usable.
Items: personal bag presets. Save the current bag as a preset, then apply, update from current bag, rename, or delete. Presets respect the game they were saved for, matching item names and pouch legality, with safe rollback if a pouch is full.
Fix: Duplicate on natively caught Gen 6 mons (XY/ORAS, including romhacks like Sinking Sapphire). Duplication now clones the native data directly instead of re-guessing the format, which used to reject 3DS saves. Bulk Duplicate selection uses the same path. A failed duplicate now tells you why instead of doing nothing.
357 tests green, including your Sapphire sample, generated Colosseum/XD GCI fixtures, and a native Gen 6 duplicate reproduction. Thanks to everyone who sent save samples and reports - this release is built from them. Still tested on the AYN Thor; older permanent-signature installs update in place.
