- Collections let you group games across systems. Hold Y on a game to add it to one, or hold SELECT to pick several and press START. Collections stack behind Favorites on L2 / R2, or set Settings → Shelf Mode to Collections to give each its own spot in the row. On a collection, hold Y to take a game out, press X to move a game, and hold X to move the whole collection. (#190)
- Game Boy Advance Video now sits behind Game Boy Advance. Press L2 / R2 on the GBA shelf to switch between them, and slot comes back to the one you used last.
- Kid Mode is a new setting in Settings → General. It locks down slot so a kid can only pick a game and play it.
- GBA games with a clock on the cart, like Boktai and Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, now read the time in your city instead of UTC.
- Rumble works in Gambatte, for Game Boy carts with a motor like Pokémon Pinball. (#194)
- ROMs with a space or a dot at the end of the name, like
Super Mario Land .gb, are renamed at boot. Their saves, labels, favorites and collections are also renamed. These filenames were causing issues with save state folder creation and fired off the scary red banner. - slot.local now answers alongside the BaseOS hostname, and slot uses BaseOS's network time instead of its own. The Gamebit receipt prints the name the device answers to, and A skips the print. (#193)
- The LCD3x shader is now called LCD. On 4:3 devices it draws its stripes to fit the screen, so they no longer band and shimmer at GBA's 2.67x. 3:2 devices keep LCD3x as it was.
- A GBA game and a Game Boy game with the same name now each keep their own core, and START opens the right board for each.
- Pikachu talks again in Pokémon Yellow, on both Gambatte and mGBA. The Game Boy pop fix in 1.14.0 had silenced his voice. (#202)
- The no-network notice fits on screen. (#195)
