Second beta of the phpwcms 2.x line. Raises the runtime baseline to PHP 8.4 and fixes form, file-usage and revision engine defects found since beta.1.

⚠️ Breaking

• PHP 8.4 baseline: minimum PHP raised from 8.2 to 8.4 across composer.json (platform 8.4.27, require >=8.4), setup/upgrade.php (MIN_PHP_VERSION), the Dockerfile, the Makefile fallback, README badges and the documentation set. PHP 8.2 reaches end of life on 2026-12-31.

🐛 Fixed

• Skipped revisions on upgrade: the revision engine now runs every pending revision and stores its markers in phpwcms_sysvalue.
• Obsolete sysvalue_tstamp column and Bad Behavior table: dropped by the revision engine and r554; the marker INSERT no longer fails under strict NO_ZERO_DATE.
• Form file size and max: HTML5 field types persist size and max again.
• Article content part type: the target content part type is kept on form submit.
• File usage: files referenced from custom fields are detected again.
• PHP 8.4 deprecations: removed the obsolete curl_close() calls in setup/upgrade.php, update.api.php and mod_feedimport.

🔒 Note

The unauthenticated .phtml upload fix (CVE-2026-110025) shipped with 2.0.0-beta.1 and is documented there.

Requires PHP 8.4+ and MySQL 5.5+ / MariaDB. Ships database revision r561.
