Good Company. v1.16.0 put the 3.5" in the flasher's board list and then handed it nothing to flash. This release fixes that, and a pet that had been standing on the wrong shoulder.
The 3.5" really is on the flasher now. A board has to appear in six places to ship, and yesterday's release managed four of them: it was built, signed, attached to the release and listed in the picker on squachwatch.com. It was not copied into the site itself — so choosing 3.5" — ST7796 (BETA) found neither its manifest nor its firmware and failed on the spot. The release's own files were complete the whole time; it was only the website that was short. If you tried the 3.5" yesterday and it would not start, that is what happened, and it works now.
The pet stands on your Squachy, not on the visitor's. With a SquachMesh guest on screen the pet rode the guest's bounce — it perched on the wrong head and bobbed to the wrong rhythm. Every figure on that screen is drawn by the same body code, and that code publishes the live top of the head for anything standing on it; the guest is drawn after the host, so the guest won the variable and the pet believed it. Only your own Squachy says where his head is now. It wants a visitor and a pet at the same time, which is why it went unnoticed until somebody had both.
The actually-useful part
Fixed
- The 3.5" (BETA) failing to flash from squachwatch.com: its manifest and firmware were missing from the site, though both were attached to the release.
- The pet standing on a SquachMesh visitor's head and following the visitor's bounce instead of your Squachy's.
