Wild Hunt. A hotfix on Argus, out the same day: three things a first afternoon on the new build turned up, none of them in the radio.
The password keyboard stopped flashing. Typing a WiFi password redrew the whole screen on every key, which on the update flow is drawn straight onto the glass and flashed on every key. The board now draws once and after that redraws only the key under your finger, the field as characters land, and the cursor as it blinks, so it is smooth with the frame buffer and without it. While it was open, the keys got the payphone's steel look, the one the squad messaging board has had all along.
The gear works on the desk. Desk mode drew the gear and the rotate icon in its corners from the day it shipped and neither did anything. The gear opens Settings now and BACK from there returns to the desk; the rotate icon turns the screen.
The crowd stands closer. Three squad members on the main screen stood at two thirds the size of one alone, because each was kept to a lane where nobody could touch a neighbour even at the far end of their wander. They stand shoulder to shoulder now and pass in front of one another as they drift, the way a group does. Three are the full size in landscape; four are five sixths of it.
The actually-useful part
Changed
- The WiFi password keyboard redraws only what changes, and its keys are the messaging board's steel.
- Squad members on the main screen overlap instead of keeping to lanes: three stand at full size in landscape.
Fixed
- The password keyboard flashing on every key on the update flow.
- The gear and the rotate icon doing nothing in desk mode.
