Highlights
- Online Radio: Browse and play stations from a catalogue with live song information, station artwork, and configurable buffering.
- Multiple music folders: Combine multiple library roots, browse each folder independently, and automatically monitor all configured folders for changes.
- Advanced Library: Search, filter, and sort tracks by source, genre, format, quality, and other criteria. Play, queue, or shuffle matching tracks and folder contents.
- Folder management: Rename library folders or move them to the Trash. Folder artwork now handles duplicate covers intelligently and creates collages when a folder contains multiple distinct covers.
- Genre browsing: Explore tracks by genre, edit genre information, and find albums with missing or unrecognized metadata using the Unknown Albums filter.
- New visualizers: Added audio-reactive visualizers, including Spectrum, Waves, PowerCircle, Lightning, and Anomaly.
- Cache Analysis: Inspect application storage and clean up recoverable cached data.
- Smart ReplayGain: Added Smart ReplayGain alongside the existing Off, Track, and Album modes.
Playback and Metadata
- Added configurable artist-credit splitting to handle featured artists, remixes, production credits, and other artist roles more accurately.
- Track Editor changes can be written to local audio-file metadata, including genre information.
- Added embedded lyrics reading and writing, including the ability to insert found lyrics into audio files.
- Added per-track music-video clips with editable clip settings.
- Improved library scanning and filesystem monitoring so renamed or moved tracks retain their identity and associated metadata, likes, and playlist references.
- Improved add-on download verification, including a verification prompt and retry after successful verification.
- Improved playback fallback for unsupported codecs, including Apple Lossless (ALAC) on macOS, with clearer errors when FFmpeg is unavailable.
Interface and Customization
- The sidebar information card now cycles through Info, Lyrics, and standalone Visualization modes. The visualizer remains selected between tracks, while lyrics return to the information card when the track changes.
- Added more flexible sidebar navigation, allowing sections to be hidden, restored, and reordered.
- Improved library-folder artwork, artist and album playback actions, and the ability to open the playing track’s folder directly in the Library.
- Cover artwork transitions now work across AutoMix, Crossfade, and Off modes, including manual Next and Previous controls. These are visual transitions and do not enable audio mixing when it is turned off.
- Improved cover-transition performance and respect for reduced-motion and Performance Mode settings.
- Reorganized settings, moved radio configuration into the Radio section, and simplified Library playback controls.
- Expanded localization across Settings, Library, Radio, lyrics, artist pages, menus, the phone remote, download status, and error messages.
Reliability and Security
- Improved radio playback handling, station artwork updates, and protection against outdated requests replacing current playback.
- Hardened server-side radio catalogue and metadata requests against unsafe private-network URLs and redirects.
- Improved library watcher recovery, folder artwork processing, and metadata consistency.
- Added clearer diagnostics for renderer errors instead of leaving the application window blank.
