Updated RC5 build — September 5, 2026

The ZIP and checksum on this existing release have been replaced. If you downloaded RC5 before this update, download it again and extract it into a new folder. The displayed version remains 0.6.2-rc.5; compare the ZIP against the updated checksum below. This is still a diagnostic prerelease, not a confirmed fix for every affected HDD.

• Windows video loading now uses Electron's native file-fetch path, with the previous streaming path retained as a startup fallback.
• Automatic seeks acquire foreground media I/O protection before jumping. Manual seeks also trigger protection, and background thumbnail/preview work is paused during seeking.
• Full copied issue reports now include recent seek timings, waiting/stalled events, renderer heartbeat gaps, and Script Variants activity to distinguish media I/O delays from UI stalls.
• Video quality, playback speed, and script output scaling are unchanged. The application does not copy entire videos to the SSD.

Please test both the first automatic gap skip and a manual timeline seek on the affected HDD, then send Device → Diagnostics → Copy Issue Report. Functional tests and packaged startup are checked locally; improvement on the reporting user's physical HDD remains unconfirmed.

• Windows 영상 읽기를 Electron 네이티브 파일 읽기 경로로 변경했고, 시작에 실패하면 기존 스트리밍 경로를 사용합니다.
• 자동 건너뛰기 전에 영상 I/O 우선권을 확보하도록 했습니다. 수동 탐색도 보호하며, 탐색 중에는 백그라운드 썸네일·미리보기 작업을 잠시 멈춥니다.
• 전체 진단 보고서에 최근 탐색 시간, 버퍼 대기·정체, UI 응답 간격과 Script Variants 작업 상태를 추가했습니다.
• 영상 화질·재생 속도·스크립트 출력 배율은 변경하지 않았으며, 영상 전체를 SSD로 복사하지 않습니다.

문제가 있던 HDD에서 첫 자동 건너뛰기와 타임라인 수동 이동을 각각 확인한 뒤 Device → Diagnostics → Copy Issue Report를 보내 주세요. 로컬 기능 테스트와 패키지 실행을 검증했지만, 제보자의 실물 HDD 개선 효과는 아직 확인되지 않았습니다. 해당 지연·멈춤 증상이 없는 사용자는 설치할 필요가 없습니다.

This Windows x64 prerelease tests a targeted fix for the automatic gap-skip freeze reported in rc.4 on some slow HDDs. The affected reports showed that initial video and script loading completed quickly, while automatic seeking overlapped a much slower Script Variants folder scan on the same drive.

If you do not experience slow HDD startup, hangs, delayed/missing library thumbnails, or freezing when empty script sections are skipped, you do not need to install this build.

Changes from rc.4

• Keeps the fast direct-script loading introduced in rc.4.
• Prevents automatic empty-gap skipping while deferred Script Variants discovery is still using the same media request. Automatic skipping resumes as soon as discovery finishes or fails.
• Protects reopened and rapidly changed media requests so an older scan cannot release a newer request's guard.
• Adds the current deferred-variant auto-skip guard state to copied diagnostics.

This protection is intentionally enabled for every video in rc.5 so affected users can verify the suspected cause. If the result is confirmed, the normal release stream will expose it as an opt-in slow-storage compatibility option instead of changing the default behavior for everyone.

Test instructions

1. Extract this build into a new folder and keep the existing stable installation unchanged.
2. Enable Skip Empty Script Gaps, then open the same affected HDD video from a cold start.
3. Check whether the video still freezes when the first empty script section is skipped.
4. Use Device → Diagnostics → Copy Issue Report after the first test and send it with the observed delay. Local file paths and NAS addresses are redacted automatically.

Test build boundary

• Windows x64 ZIP only. No Setup EXE is published for this prerelease.
• The real-world HDD improvement is not yet confirmed; please keep the existing stable installation until testing is complete.
• This build is intended only for users reproducing the slow-storage or automatic gap-skip symptoms.

일부 느린 HDD에서 rc.4의 빈 스크립트 구간 자동 건너뛰기를 사용할 때 영상이 멈추던 현상을 확인하기 위한 Windows x64 프리릴리스입니다. 제보된 진단에서는 영상과 기본 스크립트는 빠르게 준비됐지만, 자동 탐색 시점이 같은 드라이브에서 오래 걸리던 Script Variants 폴더 탐색과 겹쳤습니다.

느린 HDD 재생 지연·멈춤, 라이브러리 썸네일 지연·누락 또는 빈 스크립트 구간 자동 건너뛰기 시 멈춤을 겪지 않는 사용자는 이 버전을 설치할 필요가 없습니다.

rc.4 이후 변경 사항

• rc.4에서 개선한 빠른 기본 스크립트 적용은 그대로 유지합니다.
• 지연된 Script Variants 탐색이 현재 영상 요청에서 진행 중일 때는 빈 구간 자동 건너뛰기만 잠시 보류합니다. 탐색이 완료되거나 실패하면 자동 건너뛰기가 즉시 다시 작동합니다.
• 같은 영상을 다시 열거나 영상을 빠르게 전환해도 이전 탐색의 늦은 완료가 새 영상의 보호 상태를 해제하지 않도록 했습니다.
• 복사되는 진단 보고서에 Script Variants로 인한 자동 스킵 보류 상태를 추가했습니다.

원인 확인을 위해 rc.5에서는 이 보호를 모든 영상에 적용합니다. 효과가 확인되면 일반 배포 스트림에서는 전체 기본 동작을 바꾸지 않고 필요한 사용자만 켤 수 있는 느린 저장장치 호환 옵션으로 제공합니다.

테스트 방법

1. 이 빌드를 새 폴더에 압축 해제하고 기존 정식 설치본은 그대로 유지해 주세요.
2. 비어 있는 스크립트 구간 자동 건너뛰기를 켠 뒤, 문제가 있던 HDD 영상을 콜드 상태에서 다시 열어 주세요.
3. 첫 빈 스크립트 구간을 건너뛸 때 영상이 여전히 멈추는지 확인해 주세요.
4. 첫 테스트 후 Device → Diagnostics → Copy Issue Report를 눌러 체감한 대기시간과 함께 보내 주세요. 로컬 파일 경로와 NAS 주소는 자동으로 가려집니다.

테스트 버전 안내
