Summary
This high-priority release updates Lighthouse's trusted certificates to mitigate the compromised eMudhra certificate authority. All Lighthouse users on all networks should upgrade as soon as practical. Upgrading promptly is recommended, especially if your setup utilises HTTPS (e.g. for checkpoint sync, web3signer, VC to BN connections).
As a reminder: all Hoodi users must upgrade to v8.3.x prior to Monday 26 Oct 2026. Please see v8.3.0's release notes for details if you are upgrading from v8.2.x:
